The office innovation project is an example of the various projects that were developed in the context of change management. In close consultation with the employees, a completely new concept was developed that reflects the working method at Trespa. 'Change management' was the central theme in the business development at Trespa. The premise is that a continuous process of change is necessary in order to be able to maintain a strong position as a company.
Trespa is an international industrial company with its headquarters in Weert (the Netherlands) and various worldwide branches. Trespa produces sheeting that is used as façade covering and also for interior applications.
As soon as one enters the head office one gets the impression that Trespa has a very individual view of business management. Entering the office, the visitor finds him or herself in the communicative heart of the office. From here there is direct access to the production and office environment. A variety of flexible work areas open onto this communication centre. These are used by various employees. Many also work elsewhere, at home for example, or at a client's premises or at an international office. The entire office invokes an industrial atmosphere. This was chosen in order to express as emphatically as possible the link between the office and the factory.
The greater part of the business organisation has been digitised. In addition to the document information system used, most employees need only a very limited quantity of paper. A transparent network is also used that allows everyone to consult his or her data and application from every location. This allows office employees to work independent of the location.
Trespa has high expectations of the Internet when it comes to building up a direct and fast client relationship. At the moment, several large clients can order products digitally and the administration of these orders can also be handled digitally.
