Old models, are they still satisfactory?

Do traditional concepts support: the needs of a dynamic company, the needs of knowledge-driven people and the implementation of new technology in our style of working? The incontrovertible answer is No.

Traditional office's (such as cellular and open plan offices) are no longer sufficiently capable of supporting our modern work. There is a shortage of facilities for communication and collaboration. They are far from inspiring. Outdated technological standards and paper dependency form a barrier to the creation of more productive workstyles. Innovative concepts - such as The Business Club concept - support modern requirements in a better way.

Phase 1: The Traditional Workstyle (Cellular Office / Open Plan Office)

Work is carried out according to a strict regime. We have detailed function descriptions and work within a fixed organisational framework. To do this, we use a fixed workplace where we come at fixed times to carry out our work. Our information has mainly been stored on paper which is usually situated in a cabinet next to our work area. We have stored part of our information digitally in a personal file on our PC.

Phase 2: The Hybrid Workstyle (Activity Based Office Concept)

Rigid function descriptions are being abandoned. The organizational structure is being flattened. People are being given much more freedom and responsibility. Work is carried out in small effective teams. Networks and integrated systems are used to coordinate internal work practices and to make information easily accessible. We no longer depend on fixed workplaces but can plug into the network from various locations at the office. You choose the work environment that supports your actual tasks in the best possible way. Activity Based Working.

Phase 3: The Future Workstyle (Business Club Concept)

Result-oriented agreements are arrived at between the company on the one hand and individuals or small teams on the other. People are expected to have an enterprising attitude which can even lead to small flexible teams operating as independent companies. There is no dependence on fixed locations whatsoever. People have the freedom of time and place to deliver their contribution to the company. They may also work outside of the office, e.g. at home. They meet each other in attractive venues in order to work together and exchange ideas in a creative atmosphere. The office becomes a multifunctional meeting-place. People work at the office but also at other locations, such as home.
